February 18, 2024 - Members of the Chorus voluntarily signed up to sing for 2 recordings of  2 masses, celebrated inside the WPVI-TV studio. The two masses will be aired on March 10th and March 17th, respectively, featuring the voices of these talented singers.

Service Highlight - Carroll Chorus sings for 6ABC's weekly mass!

A group of 10 Carroll Chorus members, under the direction of Miss Suzanne Carpenter, chose to spend their Sunday afternoon giving back to their community - which in this case, is a much broader community than one might expect.

Every week, the 6ABC studio partners with the Archdiocese of Philadelphia to record and air masses for Catholics throughout the city who might not be able to physically attend mass due to various circumstances. The masses are viewed by hundreds of thousands each week. And get this - the team at WPVI-TV allows the Archdiocese to celebrate these masses in their studio free of charge - a charity program. The members of the Chorus chose to use their God-given gifts to bless those who are under such circumstances - even if for two masses - and sing the liturgical music simply for the opportunity to bring some joy and hope into the lives of many others during this Lenten season.

After the masses, the students were given a tour of the well-known Action News Studio, where many Philly residents regularly watch their favorite anchors bring them daily news at 4-6AM, 10AM, 12PM, 4-6:30PM, and 11PM. They enjoyed looking at all the equipment, pretending to give the weather forecast, and even had the opportunity to sit at the same desk that the beloved Jim Gardner once sat at. The students used their gifts to bring joy to others, and in turn were given a joyful experience that their friends will likely never hear the end of.

Music Department hosts the 2nd annual Christmas Social!

"We started out the night with food and catching up with old friends. We then played games and had an Open Mic session where we listened to music from our very talented student body! We ended the night with a 'Secret Santa' gift exchange, and spread lots of holiday cheer!

Carroll goes caroling

They sang and played a compilation of Christmas songs for customers as they shopped. 10% of Lilly Pulitzer's sales that day were donated to the music program.
